how to setup Dolby Digital Surround Sound?
I have a 4 port hdmi switcher I have a PS3, HD DVR, and bluray connected to it. and the main HDMI from the switcher to my Samsung HDTV that supports Dolby digital. I also have a digital optical output from my TV to my 5.1 surround sound home theater. How I do i get the TV to send Dolby digital using my Digital Optical to my home theater system. Its A SamSung LN40C530. it has the option to select dolby digital but it wont let me higlight it and choose that option. Anyone familiar with Samsung?

The type of home theater system is just as important as the type of TV. If it’s one of those cheapo “home theater in a box” setups, and not a true receiver/amplifier… then it’s very possible you can’t do digital into it.
