How feasible is Blu-Ray burning now?

I have a lot of downloaded PSP and computer games that are single files with large amount of storage size. I cant burn them to DVDs but im scared that hard disk drive will fail due to the constant access. What do you think about burning to bluray disc in terms of cost and effectiveness? i may buy a external one

very feasible for data stuff but not very for copying movies, movies are very hard.
